Top restaurants compete to help students kick-start culinary careers

Sacramento, CA – Some of the biggest names in the restaurant industry will battle each other on Sunday August 28 in the Culinary Clash, the ultimate show of cooking skills, to raise money for high school culinary arts programs. 

The fifth annual Culinary Clash will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center as part of the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo. This fun and interactive cooking competition benefits the California Restaurant Association Foundation (CRAF.) ProStart, a high-school based culinary arts program made possible by CRAF, helps students jumpstart exciting, fast-paced careers in the restaurant industry.   

Sponsored by Coca Cola, the Culinary Clash will take place on The Main Stage at the Convention Center and will feature industry heavyweights competing for the ultimate prize, The Purse. ProStart students will work as sous chefs with the competing teams.
